Smile: From the Kitchen
Here’s a smile I found in a home store recently:
Can you name this kitchen implement? Hold your cursor over the picture for the answer.
Speaking of answers, here’s my list of 25 green vegetables from yesterday’s puzzle: artichoke, arugula, asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, celery, collard greens, cucumber, endive, green beans, green pepper, green onion, jalapeno pepper, kale, leek, lettuce, okra, pea, romaine, seaweed, snow pea, spinach, tomatillo, and zucchini. (There are a few, more obscure salad greens and others, I’m sure).
Note: Avocado and green tomato are fruits.

Smile: Amtrak
Our family loves to ride on the train. My daughter found this smile last summer (it’s the panel that folds out into a tray):
I’ve noticed that American Express is airing ads that use objects with smiles (and frowns) in them. I’m happy that they didn’t seem to plagiarize any of mine. Also, some of their “faces” are posed or arranged, which I don’t allow myself to do. Nevertheless, it is an eye-catching campaign.
Have a great weekend!

Smile: It’s Halloween
I’m fairly certain the smile on this Halloween house is intentional. Nonetheless, I think it fits for today’s posting.
And there’s an extra hour of sleep tonight… that’s something to smile about!

Smile: Locked up
TGIS. Here’s a smile to brighten your weekend:
It’s a brighter weekend here because our daughter, who had pneumonia after an H1N1 bout, is on the mend.
Be well.

Smile: See Saw
Tools offer a lot of possibilities for smiles. This one is from a circular saw.
I have a sick kid at home. She’s had a fever for three days, so I’ll be laying low watching movies and reading a lot. I hope that by my next post on Monday, she’s feeling like herself again. Be well.

Smile: What Is It?
A page of my smile photos may be appearing in an upcoming issue of Games magazine, with the added puzzle being: What is this object?
Here’s an example of such a smile (this is not one that will appear in the magazine). What is it?

(If you hold your cursor over the picture, you’ll find the answer.)

Smile: Twins
I hope that these twin pieces of hardware give you something to smile about today:
Happy October!

Smile: Window
I have been trying to get the right light for this picture for weeks. The photo here doesn’t have any shadows, but I’d like to get a better take when the window is in full sunlight; I think the “mouth” of the smile would show up better.
Enjoy the last few days of September!
