Double First-Name Challenge Revisited

I will be on vacation for the next week and a half, so there won’t be any posts until late August. Here’s a puzzle to noodle on until then.

How many famous women can you think of who have two common first names, where the surname is a male first name? For example: Rachel Ray. I had a similar challenge two weeks ago with men who had female last names and the rules are the same here. Please use real, not fictional, people, who would be well-known to an average American. If there is a common surname, I’ll only use it once.

I have maybe a dozen names so far, and hope to have 25-30 by the time I post my list, which will be August 29th at the latest.

Enjoy!

Double-First-Name Challenge

I was thinking the other day about people who have two last names (like Anderson Cooper) or two first names (like Rachel Ray) and thought I’d make a puzzle of it.

How many people can you think of who have two first names, where the first name is a male name and the last name is a female name? As usual with name puzzles, these should be real (not fictional) people who are recognizable to most Americans. An example of a name that works is Pete Rose.

I have about 10 names so far and I know I won’t come up with a comprehensive list, but I’ll try to get 15-20 names by Thursday. One nice feature of this challenge is that I don’t think the answers are easily Googled.

I realize that some answers will be debatable, so try to use traditional female first names. However, there are quite a few girls named Madison, for instance … so I’ll probably have a secondary category that uses names like that which are not your grandmother’s names.

Enjoy the first week of August!
