I’ve been trying again to draw every day in my sketchbook. And for the past week or two I’ve been trying to come up with funny things that derive from real life. Here is one example from yesterday (and I know, if I had drawn it electronically and posted it yesterday it would have been more fitting):

Cartoon: So Close
This is a new cartoon / puzzle hybrid that I’ve been working on. What’ I’m pasting below is a sketch, so I hope to have better art, to refine the title / subtitle, and resolve whether to have instructions, etc..
I would appreciate any comments: Do you think the puzzle needs directions? Are the boxes and arrows self explanatory, or are they confusing?

B and B answers
My list of phrases that fit the pattern B__ and B__ is below. I have a feeling there are a lot more “in the language” phrases out there, so I may add to this over time.
Here are seven phrases: Bailey’s and Bushmill’s (this has an Irish connection as well, for this week), Beavis and Butthead, bed and breakfast, beef and barley, black and blue, and bread and butter. I didn’t include the birds and the bees and a couple of others because they use the word “the.”

Cartoon: None today
As of now (2:45 p.m.) I don’t have a cartoon ready, so I’ll post my list from Monday and add art later if I can.
Monday’s challenge asked for words that contain the letter N and no other consonants (nor the repetition of an N, as in NONE). I found 16 words: An, anoa (a crossword puzzle word–a dwarf buffalo), annoy, any, en (the letter), eeny, eon, in, inn, ion, nay, nee, no, nu, on, and one.
